What we are building
A community where what you have contributed is a matter of record
In most professional networks, reputation is a claim. You write your own profile, and whoever reads it decides how much to believe. That works until something is at stake — and then everyone falls back on personal introductions, because a claim nobody vouched for is not worth much.
NODA is an attempt at the other thing: a community where contribution is recorded as it happens, where a claim about somebody is attested by someone other than themselves, and where what you can see about a member is what they have consented to show. Members offer services to each other, run projects together, and build a history that does not depend on being believed.
The community is organised as NODA Social Impact Foundation, a non-profit. It is not a subsidiary of the commercial side of the ecosystem and does not exist to feed it. Money for paid work settles by ordinary invoice, outside the platform. Credits inside are a record of contribution — a unit of account, never a deposit and never an investment.
The nine levels describe how far somebody has gone, not how they got in. Most people start by coming to something, some join, fewer contribute, and a small number run nodes. None of it is rank — the levels describe what someone has access to and what they have taken responsibility for, and nothing else.
