Using the updated IOTA Field Civic Candidate Matrix v0.2, we have completed our current assessment of the four candidates for Mayor of West Vancouver.
The assessment uses the same nine weighted dimensions published earlier, including governance and integrity, fiscal and organizational stewardship, housing, infrastructure, community partnership, and the newly strengthened Leadership, Execution & Mobilization dimension.
West Vancouver’s 2026 municipal election is shaping up to be an unusually competitive one.
At IOTA Field, we’re taking this opportunity to continue and evolve a civic governance experiment we began during previous elections:
Can we evaluate candidates through a transparent, evidence-based and continuously improving process — rather than relying primarily on campaign messaging, endorsements or personal impressions?

Every generation inherits a world it did not create.
Every generation also chooses whether to leave that world a little clearer, a little kinder, and a little wiser than it found it.
Atlas is born from that choice.
Not to replace institutions. Not to oppose nations. Not to promote ideology.
But to ask better questions. To build with evidence. To learn in public. To collaborate across cultures. And to leave behind knowledge that others can improve.
The future does not belong to those who claim certainty.
It belongs to those who remain curious enough to keep learning.
