Writing for Insight and the Knowledge Hub
How a member publishes here: the two destinations, the Draft-Review-Published path, why the tag list is closed, and what the assistant will and will not do.

This post exists to prove a specific thing: that a member can write something here and have it appear, without an administrator pasting it in on their behalf.
The route
My Space → Write. Two destinations, chosen at the end rather than the beginning:
Insight is the public magazine. Anyone can read it and search engines index it. Write here when the piece is for people who have not joined and may be deciding whether to.
Knowledge Hub is the members' record. It is private unless you also mark the piece as open to everyone. Write here when the audience is people who are already inside and need the detail.
The choice comes last on purpose. You usually know what you have written before you know who it is for.
What happens after you press submit
A piece moves Draft → Review → Published. Only Published is visible to a reader, and the publication date is stamped once, on the first publish, and is not moved by a later edit — a piece that jumps to the top of the list because somebody fixed a typo is lying about when it was written.
Review is a person, not a queue with a timer. Somebody with publishing rights reads it and either publishes it or comes back to you.
Tags
You choose from a fixed list. You cannot type a new one, and neither can the assistant — the list is a foreign key in the database rather than a suggestion. Free-text tags always end the same way: Governance, governance, Gov and #governance all meaning the same thing and none of them filtering together.
If a subject genuinely does not exist yet, ask an administrator to add it. That is a deliberate piece of friction, not an oversight.
The assistant
There is a writing assistant on the same page. It will tidy a passage, shorten it, expand it, or draft a summary. Two things worth knowing about it:
It is told never to invent facts, and it sometimes does anyway. An invented statistic inside a well-polished paragraph is far harder to catch than a clumsy sentence, so read what it hands back before you keep it.
Nothing it produces is saved until you press save. It suggests; you decide.
If something does not work
Say so rather than working around it. The write path is new and the useful bug reports come from the first few people to use it in earnest.
