At the second step a person decides to belong. They complete a verified Member Profile, state their interests and boundaries, and choose how and how often they wish to be contacted. Consent is recorded before any access, recording, AI processing or public visibility — and each consent can later be withdrawn.

What this step does not grant
A journey level records a depth of participation, contribution and responsibility. It does not determine human worth, and it does not automatically create membership rights, governance authority, system access, ownership, equity, employment or financial entitlement. These are governed separately under their own rules.
No member-benefit rate has been decided for any step yet. When one is, it will not be an automatic entitlement on every transaction: it will apply only to eligible IOTA Field and commercial-member services or to specifically approved activities. Taxes, third-party hard costs, regulated professional costs, grants and NODA public-benefit funds are governed separately.
